  • Exciting news!

Sigma Alpha Mu's expansion activities continue!

An interest group just formed at the U. of South Florida in Tampa and a group of men just recently colonized at American U. in Washington, DC.  Expansion Consultant Matt Jacobson was instrumental in putting together both groups.

Our future expansion efforts are continuing this year at three additional Florida schools.  We'll be working at U. of Florida (Gainesville), Florida State (Talahassee) and U. of Central Florida (Orlando) in the coming months.  Interested undergraduate men at these schools should contact Matt Jacobson at mattj@sam.org for details.

During the next academic year, we'll be focusing on midwestern schools like Kansas, Michigan State, Purdue, Miami U., Iowa and Missouri.  Please let us know if you can provide us with rush leads for people at ANY of these schools!

  • Mu Eta Chapter at Drexel Installed

Thirteen young men became new fraters of Sigma Alpha Mu last October and formulate the re-chartered Mu Eta Chapter at Drexel in Philadelphia.   The Saturday afternoon initiation ceremony was highlighted by twelve returning alumni of the chapter, who assisted with the initiation rites.

That evening, Sammy alumni from all over the country reunited for a tremendous and emotionally charged reunion party at the university student center.  Over two hundred alumni and our newest undergraduate fraters from the chapter attended.  Also in attendance was Supreme Prior Phil Glauben and Executive Director Lee Manders.  The party lasted for over four hours and was highlighted by story telling and sharing of the best of memories of good times in Sigma Alpha Mu.

This enthusiastic group of guys is already working on finding a new house for all members to live together in the coming year.  Our alumni base of advisors is very strong at Drexel also.  The dedicated Mu Eta men are working with school officials to get back into their historical headquarters and home, hopefully, in the next year or two.
